French Settlement residents under boil water advisory

FRENCH SETTLEMENT, LA (WAFB) -

The corporate limits of French Settlement in Livingston Parish experienced a break in the main water line on Hwy. 16 Friday afternoon.

Some residents on Hwy. 16 and Hwy. 444 will see low pressure.

"We hope to have the line repaired and water back on by 6:00 pm; however, once water service is restored, a precautionary boil water advisory will be in place for the affected residents only. We will pull an investigative sample on Saturday morning and if negative the advisory will automatically be lifted around noon Sunday unless further notified," said officials with the French Settlement Water Co.
