WAFB Jacques Doucet named Grand Marshall of Krewe of Jupiter & Juno parade

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - WAFB Sportscaster Jacques Doucet will serve as Grand Marshal for the 2014 Jupiter & Juno Parade.

"I am sincerely humbled, honored and excited to be chosen as the Krewe of Jupiter & Juno Grand Marshal. Spending my entire life in Louisiana, I truly understand and appreciate what Mardi Gras means to Louisiana and the city of Baton Rouge. I am loosening up my arm now; it's carnival time!" said Doucet.

The parade rolls Saturday, February 15, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. The parade begins at the corner of Government and St. Philip Streets. It will end at the corner of Convention Street and S. River Road.

Jupiter's 2014 theme is "Romancing the Ages." The masked krewe and costumed riders will throw parade theme medallions, swords, footballs, cups, plush animals, doubloons, lighted throws, and beads.

The Jupiter & Juno Jubilee Ball will be held on January 25th at the River Center Ballroom. The Annual Jupiter and Juno Jam after parade party will be held at the Lyceum Dean Ballroom located at 124 Third Street. Doors open at 7 p.m., entertainment provided by Artemis.
