BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Gov. Bobby Jindal's office said he landed in South Korea Tuesday morning as part of his economic development mission to Asia.
Staff members said Jindal arrived in Seoul after a stop in Taipei, Taiwan.
In Taiwan, the governor met with that country's president and three companies, including Formosa.
In South Korea, Jindal is scheduled to meet with executives from four companies.
He is then set to make stops in the Japanese cities Tokyo and Osaka.
His office added some of the companies Jindal is meeting with in South Korea are large, global manufacturers and they cover various industry sectors, including advanced manufacturing and chemicals.
