BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A man is facing DWI and child endangerment charges after failing to pass for sobriety at a checkpoint in Baton Rouge.
It happened on Friday just after midnight on the 5700 block of Sherwood Forest Blvd.
According to the probable cause report, authorities report they could smell a strong odor of marijuana when they approached 29-year-old Jamal Rocky Reynard's vehicle. Baton Rouge Police officials say Reynard told them he smoked marijuana about 15 minutes before driving his car.
Police disclosed in the report that two young children were riding in the car with him at the time of the checkpoint.
Reynard was booked into the EBR Parish Prison for a DWI, reckless operation, child endangerment, and other charges.
