BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A cheering crowd watched women moving the catwalk in bras at the Manship Theatre.
It happened Friday night. Bust Breast Cancer held its second art fashion show, featuring 31 bras. They were all donated by artists with the idea that the money raised would go to the Woman's Hospital breast cancer outreach programs, including a mobile van to do mammograms.
"All [of this is] to raise funds for Woman's Hospital Foundation. All the funds tonight from any of the raffles, the silent auction of the bras, to even at the door," said spokesperson Shannon Sullivan Allen.
Models at the event on Friday night were volunteers. Some models were breast cancer survivors or knew someone with breast cancer.
