Petal woman struck and killed by vehicle on Hwy 11

FORREST COUNTY, MS (WDAM) -

A Petal woman was killed Friday night when she was struck by a vehicle on Highway 11.

Petal police have not released her name, but they say she was 50-years-old and she was hit by a pick-up around 6:45pm near the intersection with City Barn Loop.

She was pronounced dead at the scene. No one else was hurt and no one was charged. Police say they are investigating this as an accident.
