Police arrest man accused of nearly a dozen business burglaries

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

Police have arrested a man accused of stealing from several businesses in the Baton Rouge area.

The Baton Rouge Police Department reported Dexter Carroll, 25, of Baton Rouge, was taken into custody on Jan. 4 after a short foot chase on Staring Lane.

Carroll is accused of robbing McAlister's Deli on Perkins Road, Rigby's Salon on Perkins Road, and Heads and Tails Seafood on Silverside the night of Jan. 4.

He is charged in those business burglaries and eight others that happened Dec. 29 through Dec. 31.

The investigation into the burglaries is ongoing.
