BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

A man was caught allegedly driving drunk for the sixth time, according to police.

The Baton Rouge Police Department reported at the time he was pulled over, Sherwood Kenneth Taylor, 61, of Ponchatoula, was believed to be impaired and possibly involved in several car accidents.

Taylor was found on Florida Boulevard Friday around 5:45 p.m. According to the probable cause report, he had "red, bloodshot, and glassy eyes."

The report also stated he was swaying as he stood still and he failed the standardized field sobriety test. Taylor refused a proper breath test after he was taken into custody.

He was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on DWI sixth offense, driving under suspension and reckless operation. His last DWI offense was in 2012, officials said.
