City holds public hearing to determine how to use seized drug money

HAMMOND, LA (WAFB) - A public hearing is scheduled for the people of Hammond to help determine how to spend seized drug money.

The city council wants to use more than $30,000 taken from drug dealers and use the money to buy equipment for the police department.

They're asking the public to weigh-in on the matter.

The meeting is at 5:30 a.m. at Hammond City Hall.
