Livingston SPCA kicks off year finding homes for animals

DENHAM SPRINGS, LA (WAFB) -

The Livingston Parish SPCA offered cuteness for adoption to the public. The organization kicked off the New Year by trying to find several animals their ‘forever home'.

SPCA Reps were out at the Pets Mart on Millerville Saturday for several hours with all the cute puppies and kittens, trying to find them loving homes. They say events like this one are necessary because of the need in Livingston Parish.

A spokesperson for the SPCA commented, "There's a continual need. There [are] so many strays and animals that need rescue that it's just an on-going event, all the time. As soon as we move some out, we'll have some more in today."

Livingston's SPCA says it holds these adoption events a few times every month. If you missed it, there will be more to come.
