TPSO: Woman arrested at work after trying to kill father of her children

AMITE, LA (WAFB) -

A 38-year-old woman is charged with attempted murder after she allegedly hit the father of her children with her vehicle, then fled the scene and went to work.

According to the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office, the incident happened shortly before 8:00 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 3. We're told the suspect, Shawanda Robertson, hit Terrence Holden, 38, with her vehicle. He was found unconscious in a ditch located in the 58000 block of Old Hwy. 51 just south of Amite.

Holden was transported to a local hospital with severe injuries and is currently listed in critical condition.

A witness was able to identify Robertson as the individual responsible for hitting Holden. Investigators located her at her place of employment in Ponchatoula.

Robertson was arrested and charged with attempted second-degree homicide, hit-and-run (felony), failure to appear.
