Housing deadline still in place in spite of website glitch

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The leaders of the East Baton Rouge Housing Authority will not extend the application deadline for a new housing program, even though the online sign-up had a few snags.

Problems with the website could have been from the overwhelming response. The website, where residents were supposed to apply, experienced a number of glitches. Still, the agency says that so far, approximately 6,000 people signed up to get on the waiting list for the project-based vouchers program.

An important note to remember is that you can only apply for PBV if you are already on the existing voucher waiting list.

The deadline is 8:00 a.m. Saturday morning.
