MARRERO, LA (WAFB) - Two men accused of vandalizing more than 100 cars on Christmas Eve were arrested on Christmas day.
The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office said home surveillance video led them to Christopher Flanagan, 19, and Dacotah Hamilton, 20, both of Marrero.
According to detectives, both men admitted to shooting out car windows with a BB gun on multiple occasions. Investigators said 166 vehicles were damaged.
Victims said the vandalism could not have happened at a worse time.
"It's terrible around Christmas time," said Charles Dominique. "You can't afford to buy new windows and all."
"I'm really depressed," added Marguerite Cooper. "I hate to start off Christmas like that. As I said, I got a good Christmas present this morning."
Both suspects were booked into the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center on 42 counts of misdemeanor and felony criminal damage. Even more charges are possible as the investigation continues.
