U.S. Navy sailor reunites with family after 9-month deployment

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

Aviation Ordanceman 1st Class Quindric Woods, center, from Baton Rouge, La., reunites with his family following USS Nimitz' (CVN 68) arrival at its homeport of Naval Station Everett, Wash.

Nimitz returned home after a nine-month deployment to the U.S. 5th, 6th and 7th Fleet areas of responsibility.

Sailors assigned to the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68) were greeted by family and friends as they departed the ship at Naval Station Everett.

Nimitz concluded an extended deployment to the Western Pacific, U.S. Central Command and U.S. European Command areas of responsibility supporting Operation Enduring Freedom and maritime security operations.
