BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - An all clear was given early Tuesday morning after a suspected chemical leak overnight.
The Baton Rouge Fire Department said the incident happened around on Greenwell Springs Road near Aletha Drive around 10:30 p.m.
Investigators learned the truck, which previously carried hydrochloric acid, was empty.
The roadway was shut down for a couple of hours as a precaution.
Officials said they were first notified of the potential hazardous situation by a passing driver.
The Baton Rouge Fire Department, Baton Rouge Police Department, a hazardous materials unit and DEQ responded to the incident.
