FBI investigations at Kenilworth Charter School still ongoing

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

Federal agents are still not releasing any information about the FBI being on scene at Kenilworth Science and Technology Charter School on Wednesday.

During ongoing investigations, the FBI is unable to disclose the reasons why they were at the school. However, they revealed that they are still actively looking into Kenilworth.

It began Wednesday, December 11th, when federal agents were seen bringing out several boxes and loading them into a vehicle. The school's principal sent out a letter to the parents Thursday afternoon, confirming an FBI visit occurred where agents requested access to certain documents and records.

Kenilworth is operated by the Pelican Educational Foundation. This is the same group that watched its Abramson Charter School in New Orleans get shut down just two years ago amid sexual allegations and other issues.

No other information is available.
