Shooting victim identified at apartment complex, another wounded

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

Police have identified a man who died early Wednesday morning in the Bluebonnet area.

Jared Christopher Vincent, 22, was killed as a result of a shooting.

The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office said the shooting happened at an apartment complex on Ridge Pecan Drive around 5 a.m.

Ridge Pecan Drive is off Burbank Drive near Bluebonnet Boulevard.

Casey Rayborn Hicks, the spokesperson for EBRSO, said another man was injured.

Deputies suspect the shooting is drug-related.

No other information has been released.

The investigation is ongoing and more information will be released as it becomes available.
