BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas and many are in the spirit of giving.
Shiny new bikes and lots of other wrapped toys that were collected by the Baton Rouge Bar Foundation are ready to go to needy children.
Trucks full of gifts arrived at 12 area agencies, where they will be distributed to 800 kids.
It is part of the foundation's Holiday Star Project.
"The bar association, the attorneys here, we all, we're a part of this community," said Eric Lockridge, a partner with Kean Miller LLP. "It's important to us to give back to the community. This is a great way for us to do that."
In the past 22 years, the foundation has reportedly helped make the season brighter for more than 15,000 kids.
