BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - For the first time in 25 years, Les Miles and LSU are heading to the Outback Bowl, so Tiger fans are now wondering how they'll get to Tampa to watch the team take on the Iowa Hawkeyes on January 1.
For various reasons, many fans hoped LSU would be invited to play in the Cotton Bowl. A Baton Rouge travel agent was on that list of those hoping for a trip to Dallas because he knows how much more difficult it is for fans to get to Florida at the last minute.
"It overlays with the Disney crowd that is going down there, so as a result, the seating on airplanes - a lot of it's already taken," said Jim Dumigan. "And, it's a very, very long drive. So, it could be a difficult equation for the average LSU fan."
Tickets for the game are already on sale.
