Deputies search for man accused of threatening child on school bus

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

Authorities are asking for the public's help in finding a man accused of getting onto a school bus and threatening a 9-year-old.

The Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office is looking for Randy Mackey, 47, on a charge of unlawful disruption of the operation of a school.

According to Crime Stoppers Baton Rouge, Mackey walked onto a school bus on October 22 while it was at a bus stop.

Investigators said he refused to get off the bus even after the driver asked him several times to do so.

They added while on the bus Mackey allegedly threatened to beat up a 9-year-old passenger.

Officials said Mackey left the bus without hurting anyone.

He is described as 6'0" and weighing 155 pounds.
