FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Shooting better than 60 percent from the floor, Arkansas defeated the Southeastern Louisiana men's basketball team, 111-65, Tuesday at Bud Walton Arena.
Arkansas (5-2) shot 38-of-61 from the floor (62.3 percent), leading by as much as 57 late in the contest. Turnovers proved costly as the Razorbacks scored 41 points off 24 Southeastern (3-4) giveaways.
Jeffery Ricard led Southeastern in scoring with 14 points while Dre Evans also reached double digits, contributing 10 points for the Lions. Devonte Upson led all players with seven rebounds and Evans dished out a game-high five assists.
Bobby Portis and Michael Qualls each scored 16 points to
lead the Razorbacks. Coty Clarke added 15 and Rashad Madden chipped in 10 as
every player that saw action scored for Arkansas. Portis also led the team with
Southeastern returns home Saturday to the University Center to host Southeast Missouri State at 11:30 a.m. prior to the Lions' FCS Playoff game in Strawberry Stadium.
