A total of three men have been arrested in connection with the rape of a 12-year-old girl.

Last week, 38-year-old, registered sex offender Ivy Martin was arrested after being accused of raping the girl.

The victim told deputies that she had sexual contact with Ivy Edward Martin of Port Allen on Friday, Nov. 22. She also stated that this was not the first occasion, that it had been happening on a weekly basis. The accusations came to light after the girl told her mother she was possibly pregnant.

He denied having sex with the girl, but he told detectives that he did witness other men having sex with the her.

The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office arrested 55-year-old Arthur L. Jones of Baker, and 35-year-old Michael Jerrold Sherbin of Baton Rouge. They have both been charged with aggravated rape.

During the investigation, the 12-year-old girl named Sherbin and Jones as the other men who raped her. She told investigators that Martin and Sherbin raped her in July. She told investigators that Martin and Jones raped her in October.

Jones told police that he walked in on Martin having sex with the victim in October. He also told detectives that he "was drunk and he really could not remember what he did." Police reports state that Jones knew Martin allowed other men to have sex with the young girl, but he never did anything about it.

Sherbin told detectives that he was drinking with Martin in July and was invited inside. During the interview, Sherbin said he watched Martin have sex with the girl. When Martin stopped, he told detectives that he did have sex with the girl, but stopped because he knew it was wrong.

Both Jones and Sherbin were taken to the EBR Parish Prison and are each being held on a $1,000,000 bond.

There is still no bond set for Martin Ivy.
