Red Stick Revelry rings in 2015

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - New Year's Eve 2014 in Baton Rouge brought in the 2nd annual Red Stick Revelry to welcome in 2015!

We rang in the New Year downtown by dropping a Red Stick on top of the Town Square Beacon at the stroke of midnight. Before the countdown, the crowd rocked out to the music of David St. Romain from 6:30 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. and Phat Hat from 9:00 p.m. to midnight in Galvez Plaza.

We made noise, had some fun and showed the world how Baton Rouge rolls on the River.

Where do you wanna be on New Year's Eve? In the middle of Red Stick Revelry!

Greg Meriwether and Steve Caparotta were broadcasting LIVE from Town Square. Coverage started at 11:35 p.m. on WAFB and live streamed right here on, as well as on our mobile apps. You were able to check out the fun no matter where you are!
