Police believe man found covered in blood fell out of his car

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

Detectives said foul play is not suspected in an incident that sent a man to the hospital Monday night.

The Baton Rouge Police Department said it happened on Cedar Lake Drive near Staring Lane around 8 p.m.

Officers said they arrived to find a man lying in the street covered in blood.

"His injuries appear to be the result of falling from his vehicle," said Cpl. Don Coppola with BRPD. "Investigators were unable to locate anything at the scene to indicate that it was anything other than that."

The victim was taken to the hospital with injuries to his face, but he is expected to make a full recovery. His name was not released.

The investigation is ongoing.
