BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A regular season of 9 highs and 3 lows culminated with a rollercoaster win over Arkansas today. The victory left a bitter-sweet taste for fans hoping for a title this year.
One Tiger fan said tonight's game wasn't a reflection of normal LSU football.
"Last week's game is really what LSU's team looks like. When their heads get big you have something like tonight's game," said the fan.
Mark Florshiem said he appreciates the standard set by fans.
"It was a heck of a season, and I like the state of LSU football. When we don't go to the national championship we are disappointed," said Florshiem.
Grant Guidry said the Tigers put forth their best effort especially number eight.
"I think we have played really well, I think Mettenberger played such a great game. I feel like he has done to boost his confidence for LSU football," said Guidry.
After watching back-up quarterbacks Anthony Jennings 99-yard, game-winning drive to win the game, fans said next year's season looks to be a good one.
