Police release surveillance pics of Smoothie King robber

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Investigators have released surveillance images of the man who robbed a health drink shop Tuesday, but the suspect was able to keep his face from being seen.

The Baton Rouge Police Department reported the robbery happened at the Smoothie King on Airline Highway near Old Hammond Highway around 7:15 p.m.

Investigators said the robber walked in, demanded money and was given an undisclosed amount of cash.

They added a weapon was never seen, but the suspect allegedly kept his hand in his pocket as though he was armed.

Detectives said the suspect ran off and was last seen headed northbound.

The suspect is described as a white man between 23 and 27 years old. He is 6'0" and weighs about 160 pounds.

He was last seen wearing an LSU cap, blue jeans, a dark-colored jacket and a scarf around his face.

Anyone with information about the robber is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 344-7867.
