Four arrested on drug charges in Donaldsonville

DONALDSONVILLE, LA (WAFB) -

Four people were arrested in two drug busts early Wednesday morning in Donaldsonville.

One search warrant was executed at a home in the 600 block of First St.  Investigators say they found cocaine, marijuana, synthetic marijuana, ecstasy, oxycodone, hydrocodone, drug paraphernalia and more than $5,000 in cash.

The owner of the home, Quincy Nicholas, 34, and Oscar Bennett, 29, were arrested.  

Nicholas has been charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession of marijuana, possession with intent to distribute hydrocodone, possession of oxycodone, possession of ecstasy and possession of drug paraphernalia.  

Oscar Bennett was charged with possession with intent to distribute synthetic marijuana.

A second search was simultaneously executed at a home on the 1400 block of Peytavin St.  According to reports, deputies found crack and drug paraphernalia.  Five children were in the home at the time.  Two residents, Robert Bennett, 32, and Alexcia Etienne, 24, were arrested.

Robert Bennett has been charged with possession with intent to distribute crack, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of CDS in the presence of a person under 17.

Etienne was charged with possession of crack, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of CDS in the presence of a person under 17.

The five children were turned over to family members.
