Gasol out indefinitely; strained left knee

The Memphis Grizzlies came back to the Bluff City on a high after sweeping their 4-game road trip.
But that excitement is now tempered with the fact the Grizzlies will be without half of their twin towers for *at least* the immediate future.
The Grizzlies announcing Marc Gasol is out indefinitely with a sprained MCL in his left knee.
The reigning defensive player of the year left last night's 102-86 loss to San Antonio early in the second quarter after grabbing his knee under the Spurs' basket.
It'll be the first significant absence of Gasol's career.
He's missed just 4 regular season games dating back to the start of the 10-'11 season.
Entering last night's game, he was second on the Grizzlies in points, rebounding and assists.
Kosta Koufos is expected to fill in for the 7-foot-1 center.
The Grizzlies next game is against Houston, Monday at FedExForum.
