Third person dies after crash on Joor Road, victims identified

CENTRAL, LA (WAFB) - The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office says a third person has died as a result of a crash that happened just before noon Thursday in the 17000 block of Joor Road.

According to the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office, the two vehicles were traveling in opposite directions and collided head on. They have not yet determined which vehicle crossed the divide.

Two adults occupying one vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene. They have been identified as 33-year-old Nicole Hicks and 26-year-old Latosha Head. Hicks' infant son was in the backseat at the time of the crash and is expected to survive. A third adult in the vehicle, Daniel Jones, the father of the infant, was taken to the hospital where he died. He was in the backseat with the infant when the crash happened.

Deputies are in still investigating the crash.
