BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Mid-City Baton Rouge throws its big art party known as White Light Night on Friday.
You'll find businesses that aren't even art galleries showing local art, sharing snacks and wine and listening to live music. The theme of White Light Night is that all the art you can buy is from local artists.
Travel up and down Government Street and Jefferson Highway is helped by trolleys and buses. Also, the owner of Brew Ha-Ha says don't worry about the rain.
"Rain or shine, we're packed," said Gabby Louviere. "There's a lot of covered walkways. You know, you can jump on the trollies, put on a poncho, get an umbrella, have fun. You can't stay home if it's raining in Louisiana. You'd be home all the time."
Admission is free. There are 62 businesses participating, which is more than there have ever been.
White Light Night is always the Friday before Thanksgiving.
