Man arrested after using water hose to steal neighbor's utilities

A man was arrested by the Thibodaux Police Department for helping himself to his neighbor's utilities on Tuesday morning, November 19th.

According to Police Chief Scott Silverii, 28-year-old Tyrone Scott, Jr of Thibodaux, La. is facing charges for theft of utility services after a homeowner found that Scott had been running his water hose from outside of the homeowner's residence to the inside of Scott's home next door.

Silverii also reported that a similar complaint was called in to the TPD when Scott used the water hose without permission to wash his car this past Sunday.

Police say Scott had his utilities stopped a while ago, but he denied the accusations.

Silverii states that if convicted, Scott can face up to a $500 fine and up to 6 months in jail.
