EBR Coroner: Woman found in Tiger Bend bayou now considered homicide

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Autopsy results revealed that the woman died from blunt force trauma and her body was left in a bayou located off S. Tiger Bend Road. Officials are classifying it as a homicide.

East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner Dr. William "Beau" Clark announced today that the woman died from blunt force trauma to the head, neck and chest.

The woman's body was recovered on Saturday, Nov. 16 at roughly 4:00 p.m. Boaters in the area discovered the body. The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office is handing the investigation.

Officials have not provided any additional information regarding the investigation. They say they are waiting to release the victim's name because they have not yet located family members.
