Open online casting call for 'Star Wars: Episode VII'

Star Wars fans listen up: now is your chance to be a part of history. Disney and Lucasfilms are accepting online audition tapes for two lead roles in J.J. Abrams' upcoming Star Wars: Episode VII.

You have until December 3 to submit videos to the Cast It Talent website.

Star Wars: Episode VII will be directed by J.J. Abrams (Super 8, Mission: Impossible III, Star Trek) and is being scripted by Abrams and Lawrence Kasdan (Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi). Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy, J.J. Abrams, and Bryan Burk are producing, with Tommy Harper (Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol, Jack Ryan, Star Trek Into Darkness) and Jason McGatlin (Tintin, War of the Worlds) serving as executive producers. John Williams is returning to score Star Wars: Episode VII.

Shooting is scheduled to begin spring 2014 at Pinewood Studios.

For one role, they are seeking a young woman to play 17-18 years old. The website says "must be beautiful, smart and athletic. Open to all ethnicities (including bi- and multi-racial). Must be over 16."

For the male role, they are seeking a young man to play 19-23 years old. "Must be handsome, smart and athletic. Must be over 18."

    The Mississippi Highway Patrol is looking for a driver who ran away from the scene of a deadly crash in George County. Three children were killed in the crash. Troopers said a green 2003 Kia Optima was heading east on Highway 198, east of Depot Road, shortly before 4 p.m. on Saturday.
