Magnet school hopefuls camp out in cold

(FOX19) -

It's one of the coldest nights of the year, and a group of parents have set up camp on the lawn of the Fairview-Clifton German Language school so they can be among the first to get on the enrollment list.

The school has only 35 open enrollment slots and enrollment isn't until Nov. 20.

Since last Thursday, several parents have been lining up.

As a Cincinnati Public Schools Magnet school, the Fairview Clifton German Language school is one of the most sought after schools in the city.

Fairview School is one of only a few Cincinnati Public Schools to receive the state's highest rating.

There are only 35 available spots so everyone camping out isn't guaranteed a spot.

The office opens to accept applications on November 20.
