Robbery suspect back in Jail, after getting out last month

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A team of Baton Rouge Police officers and East Baton Rouge Sheriff's deputies arrested Labarick Refuge, for allegedly robbing a Regions Bank on Jefferson Hwy.

Investigators believe Refuge could be connected to the Regions bank robbery on Siegen Lane, last week after detectives recovered a hat from the crime scene that matched surveillance tape. But, this isn't his first run in with the law.

Refuge got out of jail October 28, 2013 for two counts of simple criminal damage to property. Previously, he pleaded guilty in 2004 to felony theft and flight from and officer, and spent two years behind bars in East Baton Rouge Prison. Now, Refuge is back where he was 13 days ago, in prison on a first degree robbery charge.
