Former AZ GOP chief enters race for state treasurer

PHOENIX (CBS5) -

The former chairman of the Arizona Republican Party said Thursday he is entering the Arizona State Treasurer's race.

Randy Pullen is a CPA. He would be the first State Treasurer in the past 12 years with an MBA in finance and a CPA.   

Pullen also announced that Former Gov. Fife Symington, Pima County Supervisor Ray Carroll and Mohave County Supervisor Buster Johnson will serve as campaign chairs.

Pullen served as chairman of the Arizona Republican Party from 2007 to 2011, and treasurer of the Republican National Committee from 2009 to 2011

He is founder and president of WageWatch, Inc., a premier internet-based compensation and benefit survey firm serving Fortune 1,000 companies.

"My unique experience will help me to manage Arizona's investment portfolio in a fiscally conservative and transparent manner," Pullen said.

He has been married to his wife Katherine for 17 years and they have five children between them. They have lived in Phoenix for 35 years.
