New report reveals some surprises in college coaching salaries

It's no surprise that Alabama head coach Nick Saban is the highest paid coach in college football according to a new report by USA Today.

Saban has a total yearly salary of $5,545,852.

Right behind Saban is Texas head coach Mack Brown. The embattled Longhorns coach has a total package of $5,453,750.

Number three might just surprise you. You would think it's a safe bet that it might be Les Miles, Urban Meyer or Bob Stoops, right? Nope, it's Arkansas head coach Bret Bielema. His total salary? $5,158,863 a year.

LSU head coach Les Miles is the seventh highest paid college coach in the country with a total pay of $4,459,363.

Ahead of Miles is Saban, Brown, Bielema, Butch Jones, Stoops and Meyer.
