CASA GRANDE, AZ (CBS5) -

Interstate 10 has reopened after being closed this morning from two separate crashes north of Casa Grande.

The Department of Public Safety said two people were seriously hurt in the first crash that involved a tractor trailer and another vehicle.

AAA Arizona said the crash was reportedly caused by a semi-truck driver who failed to see and move over for an ADOT truck flashing lights and illuminating a move-over sign while painting stripes on the road.

The second collision also involved a tractor trailer and a car.

Westbound lanes closed from the first crash and eastbound lanes from the second crash which happened about 3 a.m. Both reopened about 8 a.m.

The Move Over law requires drivers approaching a stationary vehicle that is displaying alternately flashing lights or warning lights to move over a lane. If that is impossible or unsafe, the motorist is required to slow down.

In July 2011, Arizona's Move Over Law was expanded to include all vehicles at the side of the road, including stranded motorists and emergency roadside personnel displaying flashing lights alongside a freeway or highway. Under previous law, motorists were only required to move over for emergency vehicles.
