Detectives are looking for the second man suspected in the armed robbery of a grocery store in September.

The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office said Nelson Pierre, 26, of Ponchatoula, is wanted in connection with an armed robbery of Alicia's Food Mart in Ponchatoula on September 27.

According to deputies, Duane Bissell, 22, also of Ponchatoula, was arrested late last week by the Ponchatoula Police Department on unrelated charges and confessed to the armed robbery during questioning.

Authorities said Bissell also told investigators Pierre was an accomplice in the robbery.

Sheriff Daniel Edwards said two suspects wearing masks and gloves walked into the store and while one held a gun on the cashier, the other emptied the cash registers.

Bissell has been charged with armed robbery and a warrant has been issued for Pierre's arrest.
