Car crashes into Massey Cancer Center

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -

A man was charged with reckless driving after crashing a vehicle into the glass doors at the Massey Cancer Center Sunday night.

The crash happened at the building's entrance just before 8:00 p.m., according to Richmond Police.

There is no structural damage to the East Marshall Street building, but an inspector was called as a precaution.

No serious injuries were reported. The 51-year-old man driving the car was issued a summons for reckless driving. VCU Police say alcohol does not appear to be a factor.

The cancer center is still open and clinics are operating as usual, as is the valet parking at North Hospital.
