Vigil marks 2nd anniversary of murders at Montgomery lounge

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

It's been two years since the deadly mass shooting at Island Lounge in Montgomery on the E. South Boulevard.

Two people died and nine others were shot that Halloween Eve.

Friday night, the mother of one of the murder victims says she will continue to keep this act of violence in the spotlight. She wants to keep her son's memory alive as they await justice.

The person police say is responsible for the murders -- 16-year-old Gregory Blue -- is still sitting in the Montgomery County Detention Facility without bond.

He's been there since November 2011. He's charged with one count of capital murder and one county of murder. He is still awaiting trial.

If convicted, Blue court face life in prison.

Tonight at 10 WSFA 12 News Reporter Tametria Conner will have more from Friday night's vigil.
