BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A backup cornerback for the LSU Tigers has been arrested and charged with simple battery after a fight broke out near a dining hall on campus.
It happened on Oct. 22, 2013 just before 3 a.m.
According to LSU Police Department, witnesses say Kavahra Holmes, 19, originally from Breaux Bridge, pushed two victims to the ground. It started as a verbal altercation and turned physical. One of the victims did not wish to pursue charges. Both the victims and a witness identified Holmes as the person who pushed the victims to the ground.
Officers found Holmes at his on-campus apartment, arrested him, and issued a misdemeanor summons.
According to LSUsports.net, Holmes is a backup cornerback for the Tigers this year after redshirting as a true freshman in 2012.
