BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

For the second year, Kool Smiles dentists will collect Halloween candy from kids in exchange for a toy and the sweets will be sent to US troops serving overseas.

Operation Troop Treats encourages children in Baton Rouge to trade their candy for a choice of up to three toys.

The candy will be sent to troops via Operation Gratitude.

The treats can be dropped off from Friday through Wednesday. The Baton Rouge location is at
3455 Government St. However, every Kool Smiles location in the country is participating.

Every child that takes part can receive one toy for every 25 pieces of unopened candy in its original intended packaging (individual sticks of gum, for example, will not be accepted). There is a limit of three toys per child and toys will be distributed on a first come, first served basis.
