BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Police are looking for a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run that happened earlier Monday afternoon, October 28th.
According to a report from the office of Superintendent Col. Michael D. Edmonson, the Louisiana State Police Troop A started an investigation of a hit and run on Jefferson Hwy and Tiger Bend Road that occurred at around 2:15 p.m.
The investigation revealed that a Toyota Avalon was traveling northbound on Jefferson Hwy just south of Tiger Bend Rd. when it was struck from behind by a silver full-sized "newer model" Chevrolet pickup truck.
The driver of the silver Chevy truck failed to stop on the scene, and continued traveling northbound down Jefferson Hwy. Police are looking for the vehicle, which will possibly have minor damage to the front end.
The police report describes the driver of the Chevy as a white male with a cast on his arm. He was also accompanied by a female passenger.
The driver of the Toyota Avalon suffered minor injuries.
