BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Reviews are in for A&E's new series The Governor's Wife. The series follows former Governor Edwin Edwards and his wife Trina.
One Nola.com reviewer called it "train wreck TV," while the Huffington Post calls the show "a hoot." It also says "Trina is just this side of being a blonde bimbo; not totally dumb, but not the sharpest person in the room. Still she does appear to love Edwin, and he in turn appears to love her."
Meanwhile, Edwards' daughter Victoria told the Associated Press what she thinks of the show's chances: "It will be the same way people receive my daddy: 33 percent absolutely love him, 33 percent are in the middle and 33 percent think he's done something wrong and should either be dead or back in jail."
