Robbery suspect arrested after police chase

HAMMOND, LA (WAFB) - Hammond Police caught an armed robbery suspect Thursday afternoon after a high-speed chase.

Sheriff's deputies were investigating a robbery in the Roseland area around 2:30 p.m. Thursday and notified police that the suspect, who had shoulder-length dreadlocks may be heading toward Hammond in a black Cadillac Deville.

Officers spotted a man matching the suspect's description driving a black Deville on Magazine St. and attempted to pull the vehicle over.

According to reports, the driver, Timmothy Berry led officers on a chase through Arrington Place subdivision where he lost control of the vehicle and went into a ditch.  Berry then led officers on a foot chase before he was caught and arrested.

Berry's passenger in the car, Gabrielle Fluker, was also arrested.
