Red Stick Farmers Market goes mobile

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

The Red Stick Mobile Farmers Market will resume Wednesday for the fall season.

The mobile market will be at the Scotlandville Library, at 7373 Scenic Hwy., from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday and Star Hill Church, at 1400 N. Foster Dr., from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Wednesday.

On Thursday, the market will move to the Delmont Service Center, at 3535 Riley St., from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. and the McKinley Alumni Center, at 1520 Thomas H. Delpit Dr. from noon until 2.

A variety of locally grown produce will be available, including tomatoes, pumpkins, mustard greens, turnips, green beans and squash.

The mobile market accepts SNAP/EBT, Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Coupons and debit and credit cards.
