Freestore Foodbank gets hefty donation from parking company

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

Fast Park donates 848 pounds of food to Cincinnati's Freestore Foodbank.

For the sixth year in a row, Fast Park collected food at their 17 facilities nationwide during the month of September.

In Cincinnati, the FastPark & Relax facility collected 129 pounds of food, the Airport Fast Park facility collected 448 pounds and the Fast Park corporate office, located in downtown Cincinnati, collected 271 pounds.

All 848 pounds will be donated to the Freestore Foodbank.

As in years past, Fast Park matched one dollar for every pound of food and every dollar donated by customers.

In a new twist, Fast Park employees competed to see which facility could collect the most. This year the Milwaukee FastPark & Relax took the prize with 2,629 pounds of food. Because the Milwaukee facility collected the most, its charity, Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin, will receive an additional $1,000 donation from Fast Park.
