Gov. Jindal comments on government shutdown

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Governor Bobby Jindal went on the record Tuesday about the partial shutdown of the federal government.

Jindal said while federally-funded agencies have money to operate for the next few weeks, some people in the state are being impacted.

"Even though our military personnel are being paid - National Guard, we've got many civilian employees that will be furloughed," said Jindal

The sticking point between lawmakers in Washington is the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare.

The governor says Congress should be trying to balance the budget, but right now they're not talking about that.
