Federal government shuts down, leaders continue to squabble

The Senate voted this morning to reject a measure that would end the first federal government shutdown since 1995.  Watch 9News at 5 for the latest on what is being done to end the shutdown and how it is affecting people.

Parents of Baton Rouge students are upset over fights they say happen daily at a school bus transfer site off Sherwood.  One father says his son ended up with a broken jaw in one of the incidents.  WAFB's Jim Shannon will have more tonight on 9News at 6.
